The New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) has continued its impressive growth trajectory in the current financial year, achieving a significant milestone in cargo handling. Cargo Handling Crosses 46 Million Metric Tonnes

As of March 4, 2026, NMPA handled 46.09 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo, exceeding the 46.01 MMT recorded during the entire FY 2024–25 period. This achievement demonstrates the port’s consistent operational improvements and its growing efficiency in managing cargo movement.

Port officials attribute this strong performance to improved coordination with port users, streamlined operational practices, and sustained efforts by various stakeholders involved in port activities.
