According to a leak shared by tipster Instant Digital on Weibo, the iPhone Fold is expected to feature a camera “plateau” similar in style to the iPhone Air. However, instead of matching the body colour, Apple may opt for a contrasting all-black camera module.

The camera layout is said to include two horizontally aligned rear cameras, along with a microphone and an LED flash. This design choice gives the device a bold visual identity and is reminiscent of the camera treatment seen on some iPad Pro models. At launch, colour options may be limited, with white reportedly being the only confirmed shade so far. Apple is expected to add at least one more colour option, though details remain unclear.

Reimagined button placement for a cleaner look
One of the more notable changes involves the button placement. The iPhone Fold is expected to break away from Apple’s traditional layout. Volume buttons are likely to be shifted to the top edge of the device and aligned to the right, similar to the placement seen on the iPad mini.
