iPhone 18 Pro leaked in a video, reveals full design and specs

iPhone 18 Pro leaked in a video, reveals full design and specs

A new leak has sparked fresh excitement among iPhone enthusiasts, as a video allegedly showcasing the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro reveals major design and hardware changes. Shared by well-known tipster Jon Prosser through Front Page Tech, the leak gives an early look at what could be one of the most noticeable upgrades in recent iPhone history. From a redesigned front display to powerful internal upgrades, here is everything we know so far.

Front design gets a cleaner look

One of the biggest highlights of the leaked video is the redesigned front of the iPhone 18 Pro. Apple has used a pill-shaped cutout for multiple generations, but this could finally change. According to the leak, Apple may move some Face ID components under the display, reducing the cutout to a single hole.

Another surprising detail is the placement of the selfie camera. Instead of sitting at the center, it appears to be positioned at the top-left corner of the display. This would be a major visual shift and could make the screen feel more open and less cluttered.

Dynamic Island stays, but shifts position

Despite rumours of its removal, Dynamic Island is not going anywhere. The leak suggests that Dynamic Island will remain part of the iPhone experience but will move along with the front camera to the top-left corner. Apple seems to be aiming for a less intrusive design while still keeping the animations and live activities that users are now familiar with. In everyday use, this change could make the interface feel cleaner without sacrificing functionality.

Camera upgrades focus on hardware, not just software

On the back, the iPhone 18 Pro may receive a meaningful camera upgrade. The leaked video claims Apple is testing a variable aperture system for the main camera. Unlike current models that rely heavily on software processing, a variable aperture would allow the lens to physically control light intake. This could result in more natural background blur, improved portraits, and better low-light photography.

However, this feature may be exclusive to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, suggesting Apple could continue differentiating the Pro and Pro Max models more clearly in terms of hardware.

Refined physical controls

The leak also points to a change in physical controls. Apple may replace the existing capacitive camera control button with a pressure-based button. This could offer a more reliable and tactile response, especially for users who frequently take photos or record videos and prefer a clear physical feedback.

A20 Pro chip and major internal changes

Internally, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to take a big leap forward. Both the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to run on Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip. Reports suggest this chip could be built using TSMC’s upcoming 2nm process, marking a significant improvement in performance and efficiency.

Apple is also said to be working on a new chip design approach, integrating RAM directly onto the same wafer as the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. This tighter integration could improve performance, enhance power efficiency, and help with thermal management. The space saved inside the phone could be used for a larger battery or better cooling. Early estimates suggest up to 15 percent performance gains and around 30 percent better efficiency, though these figures should be taken cautiously at this stage.

Apple’s own modem and battery expectations

Another notable internal upgrade could be the introduction of Apple’s in-house C2 modem. This would further reduce Apple’s reliance on third-party modem suppliers and could improve connectivity and power efficiency.

In terms of size, the iPhone 18 Pro is still expected to feature a 6.3-inch display. The Pro Max variant may include a larger 5,100mAh battery, although details about the standard Pro model’s battery capacity remain unclear.

New colour options add personality

The leaked video also mentions new colour options, including burgundy, brown, and purple. These shades would be a departure from Apple’s traditionally muted Pro finishes and could add more personality and visual appeal to the lineup.

Launch timeline and final thoughts

It is important to remember that all of this information is based on early leaks. Apple’s plans can change, and the final product may look or behave differently. As of now, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to launch in September 2026, following Apple’s usual release cycle. The standard iPhone 18 model may arrive later, possibly in 2027.

For now, these leaks offer an intriguing glimpse into the direction Apple might be heading. While nothing is official yet, the iPhone 18 Pro is shaping up to be a device focused on cleaner design, stronger hardware, and smarter performance upgrades.
