Isuzu Motors India emerges as top exporter of commercial vehicles

In a remarkable achievement for the Indian automotive sector, Isuzu Motors India (IMI) has emerged as the leading exporter of commercial vehicles (CVs) from India for the financial year 2024-25. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the company, which has consistently been among the top three CV exporters in recent years.
Record-Breaking Export Performance
Isuzu Motors India recorded exports of 20,312 commercial vehicles during FY2024-25, marking an impressive 24% growth over the 16,329 units exported in FY2023-24. This is the first time that IMI has led the CV export chart, reflecting the company’s growing strength and strategic positioning in the international automotive arena.
Strategic Manufacturing at Sri City
At the heart of this success is IMI’s advanced manufacturing facility located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The plant is equipped to produce vehicles for both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) markets, enabling Isuzu to cater to a wide array of global destinations. The export footprint includes Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan.
Notably, the Sri City plant recently rolled out its 100,000th vehicle, underlining the company’s robust manufacturing capabilities and commitment to excellence.
Strengthening Global and Domestic Presence
Isuzu Motors India continues to prioritize both domestic and international markets. The company has been expanding its sales and service network across India, ensuring better reach and customer support. A key component of its exports includes pickup trucks, which have found growing demand in both Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
By leveraging its Indian operations as a global production hub, Isuzu Motors India is reinforcing its role in shaping India’s identity as a leading exporter of high-quality commercial vehicles.
