As part of the reduced taxes, many cars in various segments have gotten more affordable. Following the disclosure by multiple carmakers, including Tata, Toyota, and Renault, of passing on the full benefits of the reduced taxes to new buyers, Hyundai has become the latest brand to join the list.
How Much Savings Will Customers Get On Hyundai Cars?
The GST correction has been made for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles only. For electric vehicles (EVs), the GST rate remains unchanged at 5 percent. With the new tax structure, Hyundai customers can enjoy significant price reductions across popular models. Here’s the breakdown:

What Are The Revised GST Slabs For Hyundai Cars?
The new GST rates bring considerable relief to customers, with savings of up to 13 percent depending on the vehicle. Here’s a quick look:

Sub-4 metre (Diesel): Old – 31% | New – 18% | Savings – 13%
Cars over 4 metres (engine ≤ 1,500cc): Old – 45% | New – 40% | Savings – 5%
SUVs over 4 metres (engine > 1,500cc): Old – 50% | New – 40% | Savings – 10%
Among Hyundai’s lineup, the Tucson sees the maximum price cut, with total benefits reaching up to Rs 2.4 lakh. The Exter offers 11 percent savings, while the Venue and Creta offer 13 percent and 5 percent, respectively.
When Will The New Prices Be Applicable?
Hyundai has announced that the revised prices will be effective from September 22, 2025. Customers planning to purchase a new Hyundai should ideally wait until this date to take advantage of the reduced costs.
