Apple Music unveils cutting-edge studio in LA to mark 10th anniversary

As Apple Music hits its 10-year milestone, the streaming giant is making waves with the unveiling of Apple Music Studios a bold, state-of-the-art creative space in Culver City, Los Angeles. This 15,000-square-foot, three-story facility isn’t just a studio; it’s a statement about the future of sound, storytelling, and connection.
A Creative Sanctuary for the Next Era
Described as a “creative sanctuary,” the studio is designed to inspire and support artists in reimagining what’s possible. Architect Eric Owen Moss known for his unconventional and visionary designs crafted the building to reflect Apple Music’s boundary-pushing spirit. The space includes two cutting-edge radio studios primed for spatial audio, impromptu interviews, and unforgettable surprise performances.
At the heart of the facility lies a massive 4,000-square-foot soundstage, ready to host everything from live performances to fan experiences and cinematic shoots. The studio stands just blocks away from major players like Sony Music and Amazon Music, embedding Apple Music even deeper into the entertainment capital of the world.
More Than Music: A Full Creative Ecosystem
Apple Music Studios is more than just a soundstage. It's a complete content creation ecosystem, featuring a dedicated social media lab, editing suites, podcast booths, and even private isolation spaces for songwriting and intimate conversations. Every corridor is curated with images and artwork celebrating Apple Music’s decade-long cultural journey.
This creative playground will not only serve musicians but also filmmakers, photographers, podcasters, and visual artists. As Oliver Schusser, VP of Apple Music and Beats, explains, “We wanna make sure we create a platform for artists and creators of all kinds… a space where we can record some extra content that gives people context.”
A Global Vision for Creativity
Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director, is set to kick off a weeklong anniversary celebration with Ebro Darden, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Apple Music Radio. Lowe emphasizes the vision behind the studio: “We’re trying to create as many opportunities as possible to surprise and delight people... This will be a moment for them.”
And it’s not just about Los Angeles. Apple Music Studios will serve as the flagship in a global network of creative hubs, with locations in New York and London on the horizon. These will join existing creative centers in Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, and Nashville cementing Apple Music’s role as a leader in worldwide music innovation.
As Apple Music turns 10, it’s clear the future is not just about streaming it’s about building a deeper, more immersive relationship between artists, fans, and the music itself.
