Kerala industries minister lays foundation stone for ₹250-crore NDR space warehousing project at Aluva

In a major step toward strengthening Kerala’s industrial and logistics infrastructure, Industries Minister P. Rajeeve laid the foundation stone for a ₹250-crore Grade-A warehousing and logistics facility promoted by NDR Space Private Ltd at Chununganveli near Aluva. The landmark event marks a significant milestone in the State’s ongoing mission to attract large-scale industrial investments and improve supply chain efficiency.

Boosting Industrial and Employment Growth
The state-of-the-art facility will span 16 acres and is expected to generate over 300 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing a strong push to the local economy. Once operational, it will greatly enhance logistics efficiency and serve as a key node for regional trade and distribution.

Part of the 100th Project under Invest Kerala Summit
Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony, Minister Rajeeve highlighted that the project is the 100th initiative under the Invest Kerala Summit, which has already attracted ₹36,000 crore in investments and created around 50,000 jobs across logistics, manufacturing, and services sectors. “Kerala’s conversion rate of investment proposals stands at 24 per cent, well above the national average of 14–15 per cent,” he said, underscoring the State’s strong track record in facilitating business growth and ensuring project implementation.

NDR Space’s Commitment to World-Class Infrastructure
Raj Srinivasan, Chief Executive Officer of NDR Space Pvt. Ltd, emphasized that the Aluva project represents the company’s commitment to Kerala’s vision of world-class industrial and logistics infrastructure. The facility, set for completion by March 2026, will cater to a wide range of sectors including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, and third-party logistics (3PL), offering advanced storage and distribution capabilities.

Part of a Broader Vision for Kerala’s Logistics Future
The Aluva warehousing facility forms part of NDR Space’s ambitious plan to develop nearly two million sq. ft. of Grade-A warehousing and industrial space across Kerala in the coming years. This initiative aligns with the State’s focus on modernizing its logistics ecosystem, promoting industrial growth, and improving competitiveness in key sectors.

With strong government support and private sector participation, projects like this are set to transform Kerala into a leading logistics and industrial hub, driving sustainable economic growth and creating meaningful employment opportunities for its people.
