IT officials conduct survey at Raymond Lifestyle, company responds

In a recent development, officials from the Income Tax Department visited some offices and manufacturing units of Raymond Lifestyle Limited across India. The survey was conducted under Section 133A of the Income Tax Act, 1961, as part of standard proceedings by the authorities.

The company confirmed that the proceedings are ongoing and emphasized that it is extending full cooperation to the officials. “We hereby inform that yesterday certain officials of the Income Tax Department visited some of the Company’s offices and manufacturing units in India for conducting a survey action under Section 133A of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The proceedings are underway and the Company is extending its full cooperation to the officials,” Raymond Lifestyle stated.

Raymond Lifestyle, previously known as Raymond Consumer Care Limited, operates its corporate offices in Thane, Maharashtra, and maintains manufacturing units in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The company made the disclosure publicly through filings with BSE and NSE, in addition to posting it on its corporate website.

Strong Financial Performance in Q1FY26

Despite the ongoing survey, Raymond Lifestyle has reported positive financial trends. For the first quarter ending June 30, 2025, the company reported a reduced net loss of ₹19.8 crore, compared to a net loss of ₹23.2 crore in the same quarter last year.

Revenue from operations saw a 17.2% increase, rising to ₹1,430 crore from ₹1,220 crore in Q1FY25. This growth was driven by strong performance in the branded textile and apparel segment.

At the operating level, EBITDA jumped 30.8% to ₹78.1 crore from ₹59.7 crore year-on-year, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 5.4% from 4.9% in the previous year. The company attributed this improvement to higher sales, an improved product mix, and better operating leverage.

Looking Ahead

Raymond Lifestyle continues to maintain its commitment to transparency and compliance with authorities. While the Income Tax proceedings are ongoing, the company remains focused on delivering growth in the branded apparel sector and strengthening its operational performance across its offices and manufacturing units.
