CONCOR launches first export shipment from Mysuru’s MMLP to Maldives

Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has achieved a significant milestone in strengthening India’s multimodal logistics framework with the successful launch of the first export shipment from its Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Kadakola, Mysuru. The inaugural consignment marks the beginning of a new trade linkage between southern India and the Maldives, further expanding India’s footprint in international logistics.

A New Gateway for South India’s Exports
The first export consignment, transported in a CONCOR-owned container, is being routed through the company’s Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Tondiarpet (TNPM), Chennai, en route to the Maldives. This initiative is a major step toward improving trade accessibility for exporters in southern India, providing them with a more efficient and cost-effective route to global destinations.

Flag-Off Ceremony Marks a Milestone Moment
The flag-off ceremony, held on November 3, 2025, was graced by CONCOR’s Chairman and Managing Director, along with Shri Prabhas Dansana, Principal Executive Director (TT) of the Railway Board, and other senior members of CONCOR’s leadership team. The event signified not just the launch of a new logistics service, but also a celebration of India’s growing capability in sustainable and integrated transport solutions.

Driving Sustainability Through Green Logistics
In line with CONCOR’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the first leg of the shipment was transported using a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered vehicle. This initiative is part of CONCOR’s larger mission to promote cleaner and greener logistics operations, reducing the carbon footprint of transportation and contributing to India’s sustainability goals.

Building Efficient Multimodal Corridors
Speaking on the occasion, CONCOR’s CMD highlighted that this milestone demonstrates the company’s dedication to developing efficient, multimodal, and sustainable logistics corridors that seamlessly connect India’s manufacturing clusters with global trade routes. The Kadakola MMLP is expected to serve as a key export gateway for industries across Karnataka and nearby regions, enhancing the region’s logistics competitiveness.

Strengthening India’s Position in Global Trade
This new export service underscores CONCOR’s strategic vision of integrating rail, road, and port connectivity to streamline cargo movement from the hinterland to global markets. By leveraging advanced logistics infrastructure and eco-friendly transport modes, CONCOR continues to position itself as a frontrunner in India’s logistics transformation.

With this successful launch, CONCOR reaffirms its leadership in the logistics sector driving innovation, sustainability, and efficiency to connect India’s industries with the world.
