CONCOR Explores Strategic Collaboration with CMA CGM to Boost Global Logistics Integration

In a significant move aimed at strengthening India’s position in global supply chains, Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) is exploring strategic collaboration opportunities with global shipping major CMA CGM. The discussions took place during a high-level meeting held in Marseille on March 18, 2026, highlighting growing cooperation between Indian logistics players and international shipping leaders.

The CONCOR delegation was led by Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Swarup, along with Chief Financial Officer Harish Chandra, Area Head (South) Gayatri, and Group General Manager (Business Development) Paresh Agrawal. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to enhance logistics connectivity, improve efficiency, and build stronger global integration for containerized cargo movement.

During the interaction, Swarup highlighted CONCOR’s expanding logistics infrastructure and customer-centric initiatives. He emphasized the company’s long-term growth strategy, which includes strengthening intermodal capabilities and improving service offerings. Key areas discussed included operations at the upcoming Bhavnagar Port, the proposed Bharat Container Shipping Line (BCSL), and the development of additional Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) at strategic locations across India.

The CMA CGM delegation, including senior executive Yannis Chaffi, engaged in detailed conversations around potential cooperation. Both sides explored collaboration in intermodal logistics, improved cargo handling, and enhancing global supply chain integration. The discussions also touched upon aligning operational capabilities to provide seamless end-to-end logistics solutions for customers.

This meeting underscores CONCOR’s intent to deepen international partnerships and align with global logistics leaders. By collaborating with CMA CGM, CONCOR aims to enhance efficiency, strengthen connectivity, and boost competitiveness in India’s container transport ecosystem. The potential partnership could also support India’s broader objective of becoming a major global logistics hub, while improving trade facilitation and reducing supply chain bottlenecks.
