Bapu’s Shipping Jamnagar signs MoU with Deendayal Port Authority to establish shipbuilding facility at Kandla

In a landmark moment for India’s maritime industry, Bapu’s Shipping Jamnagar Pvt. Ltd., a flagship company of the Bapu’s Group of Companies, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, to set up a state-of-the-art shipbuilding facility capable of constructing vessels up to 120 meters in length overall (LOA). This strategic initiative represents a significant leap forward for India’s growing shipbuilding sector.

A Step Toward Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047

This collaboration between Bapu’s Shipping and DPA Kandla is fully aligned with the national visions of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) and Viksit Bharat 2047. The facility aims to promote indigenous shipbuilding, technological innovation, and sustainable maritime infrastructure, ultimately enhancing India’s competitiveness in the global shipping landscape.

Leadership and Vision

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by key dignitaries, including Shri P. K. Roy (Joint Secretary – Ministry of Shipping), Shri Sushil Kumar Singh (Chairman – Deendayal Port Authority), and Shri Bhupendrasinh Jadeja (Chairman – Bapu’s Group). Their collective vision underscores the government’s commitment to transforming India into a global maritime powerhouse.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Bhupendrasinh Jadeja, Chairman of Bapu’s Group, extended heartfelt gratitude to Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, Chairman of DPA, for his visionary leadership and steadfast support.

“This collaboration is a testament to our shared belief in India’s maritime potential. Together, we are not only building ships  we are building a stronger, self-reliant maritime future for the nation,” said Shri Jadeja.
