Apple launches limited edition ‘sock’ for your iPhone, price goes up to ₹20,300

Apple has once again captured global attention with its latest unconventional accessory   the iPhone Pocket, a luxury “sock” for your iPhone. Designed in collaboration with renowned Japanese fashion label Issey Miyake, this limited-edition product is a nostalgic nod to the early-2000s iPod Socks, reimagined in Apple’s signature minimalist and premium style.

A Luxury Throwback with a Modern Twist
The iPhone Pocket is crafted from 3D-knitted stretchable fabric, designed to snugly wrap around your iPhone while maintaining an elegant look. More than a decorative item, the fabric’s flexible weave allows users to peek at their phone screen without removing it completely, blending functionality with fashion. Apple calls it a “wearable pocket”   sleek, smart, and stylish.

Unlike the affordable iPod Socks of 2004, which came in packs of six for just $29, the iPhone Pocket sits firmly in luxury territory. The short-strap version is priced at $149.95 (around ₹12,900), while the long-strap version costs $229.95 (around ₹20,300).

This collaboration with Issey Miyake’s design studio, famous for creating Steve Jobs’ iconic black turtleneck, brings a touch of haute couture to the tech world. The design reflects Miyake’s minimalist aesthetic and mastery of flexible, wearable textiles, making the accessory both fashionable and functional.

The iPhone Pocket can be styled in several ways   worn over the shoulder, around the wrist, or clipped onto a handbag. The short-strap edition comes in vibrant shades such as lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon, and black, while the long-strap version will be available only in sapphire, cinnamon, and black.

Available in Select Markets Only
Apple has confirmed that the iPhone Pocket will be sold exclusively in select regions, including the US, UK, France, Italy, Japan, China, Singapore, and South Korea. Stocks will be limited, and a few Apple Stores will showcase the accessory for in-person viewing.
