AD Ports temporarily halts traffic to and from Old Free Port
Temporary suspension for smooth recreational marine operations
AD Ports Group has officially announced a temporary suspension of navigation to and from the Old Free Port between 10 November and 12 December 2025, according to a notice shared by GAC. This move comes in preparation for upcoming recreational marine activities that will be taking place in the region during this period.
Notice to Mariners and vessel movement advisory
In its Notice to Mariners No.15/2025, AD Ports Group has advised all operators that incoming and outgoing vessel movements should be prioritised before the suspension period begins. Ships are further instructed not to remain berthed for extended durations, as this may disrupt the movement and operational flow of other vessels during the closure period.
Departure deadline and operational adjustments
To ensure a smooth transition, the departure deadline for all berthed vessels has been set for November 9, ahead of the suspension. Port users and stakeholders have been urged to plan their logistics and vessel schedules accordingly to avoid disruptions.
Maintaining efficiency amid temporary restrictions
While the halt is temporary, the proactive approach by AD Ports Group aims to ensure the safety and smooth coordination of marine activities, highlighting its continued commitment to effective port management and operational excellence. Normal navigation and port activities are expected to resume after December 12, 2025.
