Actor Dharmendra admitted to hospital in Mumbai
Veteran Bollywood legend Dharmendra, aged 89, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai and is currently under observation. According to his wife, Hema Malini, the actor is being “continuously monitored” by the medical team. She urged fans and well-wishers to keep him in their prayers, expressing gratitude for the love and concern pouring in from across the nation.
In an official statement, a PR representative confirmed that, “Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available.” The representative also appealed to the public to refrain from spreading misinformation, stating, “Kindly don’t indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy.”
Amid growing concern and rumours circulating on social media, an industry insider revealed that Dharmendra’s health condition remains delicate, though his family and doctors are hopeful for improvement.
Earlier reports suggesting that Dharmendra was on a ventilator were denied by his son Sunny Deol’s representative, who reiterated that the veteran actor’s condition is stable.
Family members including Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, and Esha Deol have been by Dharmendra’s side at the hospital. Several Bollywood celebrities also visited to check on the beloved star, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda, who were spotted outside the hospital expressing their support and concern.
Dharmendra, fondly known as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” has been a cherished figure in Indian cinema for over six decades, known for his iconic performances in films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Phool Aur Patthar.
