UPSIDA Clears ₹800 Crore Warehousing & Logistics Projects Across Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has approved eight new warehousing and logistics projects across Uttar Pradesh, with proposed investments of around ₹800 crore. Announced by an official spokesperson, the approvals mark another step toward strengthening the state’s logistics infrastructure and improving supply chain efficiency across key industrial and agricultural regions.

The projects have been sanctioned under the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022, which offers a range of incentives including financial assistance, tax exemptions, and support for setting up logistics and storage units on private land. Officials highlighted that these approvals reflect rising investor confidence in the state’s expanding logistics ecosystem and its growing role as a supply chain hub in North India.

The newly approved developments include five silos, two warehousing units, and one integrated logistics project. These facilities will be spread across strategically important districts such as Unnao, Auraiya, Balrampur, Shravasti, Sultanpur, Lucknow, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Hapur. By distributing infrastructure across multiple locations, the initiative aims to improve regional connectivity and reduce storage bottlenecks.

Officials stated that the projects will significantly enhance agricultural and industrial supply chains by expanding storage capacity and improving logistics efficiency. Better infrastructure will help reduce post-harvest losses, ensure safe storage of foodgrains, and streamline distribution networks for manufacturers and traders.

UPSIDA has already approved 61 projects under the Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022 and the PIP policy, with total proposed investments exceeding ₹12,900 crore. These developments are planned across approximately 810 acres, demonstrating the state’s commitment to building a robust logistics network.

The state government expects the new infrastructure to boost safe storage capacity for foodgrains, improve logistics support for farmers, accelerate the development of multimodal logistics hubs, and encourage warehouse cluster growth. Additionally, these projects are anticipated to generate substantial employment opportunities while strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s position as a key logistics and supply chain destination in India. 🚚📦📈
