Former CSK batter S Badrinath shared a memorable photo featuring iconic names such as Ambati Rayudu, Matthew Hayden, Muttiah Muralitharan, Parthiv Patel, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, Joginder Sharma, Murali Vijay and Lakshmipathy Balaji. The group posed with CSK’s five IPL trophies while wearing their classic yellow jerseys, with Badrinath captioning the post “O(ldie)G squad,” sparking excitement among fans. 🎉

The reunion featured legends including Michael Hussey, Hayden, Bravo and Raina interacting with current stars such as captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, the ever-popular MS Dhoni, Shivam Dube and new signing Sanju Samson. Dhoni received the loudest cheers from the crowd, while Samson   fresh off being Player of the Tournament in India’s 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup triumph   drew chants of “Sanju, Sanju” as his jerseys sold rapidly outside the stadium. 🔥

The current squad also conducted an open practice session, engaging in light drills and football kickabouts, keeping fans entertained throughout the evening.

The celebrations extended beyond cricket, with a musical performance by AR Rahman taking centre stage. Meanwhile, Samson, Dube and Under-19 World Cup-winning captain Ayush Mhatre were honoured by Dhoni with commemorative plaques, making the event even more memorable for fans dressed in yellow.
