Samsung Galaxy S25+ Powers Van Gogh Museum’s New Audio Tour

A fusion of art and innovation

Samsung Electronics has announced a groundbreaking three-year partnership with the renowned Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, setting the stage for a transformative journey where technology meets art. This collaboration introduces a new way for visitors to engage with the world’s largest collection of Vincent van Gogh’s masterpieces, through a completely redesigned audio tour powered by the Samsung Galaxy S25+.

Reimagining museum storytelling

Launched officially on June 10, the revamped audio tour replaces outdated audio equipment with 1,600 Galaxy S25+ smartphones. This upgrade brings visitors a more compact, lightweight, and user-friendly interface, offering clearer voice audio and vibrant display quality. It allows for a more immersive storytelling experience, guiding visitors through Van Gogh’s artistic legacy with sharper visuals and intuitive navigation.

Vision for a connected cultural experience

“We believe technology should open doors to inspiration and connection,” said Sean Yun, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Benelux. “Our partnership with the Van Gogh Museum is a powerful example of how mobile innovation can bring cultural experiences to life in more intuitive and personal ways for people everywhere.”

Looking ahead, Samsung and the museum plan to integrate Galaxy AI features to personalize the visitor experience even further. These enhancements will continue evolving the museum’s offering, blending cutting-edge mobile technology with timeless creativity.

Art meets design: Exclusive Galaxy smartphone cases

To celebrate this multi-year collaboration, Samsung is releasing a special line of Van Gogh Museum branded smartphone cases. Inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s most iconic paintings, such as Sunflowers and his Self-Portrait, these exclusive accessories will be available at Samsung Experience Stores and the Samsung Online Store in the Netherlands, as well as at the Van Gogh Museum store and its online platform.

A shared mission for innovation

“At the Van Gogh Museum, we aim to be at the top of our game and in response to our own times, and to do so in our own innovative way,” said Emilie Gordenker, Director of the Van Gogh Museum. “We are delighted to collaborate with Samsung as a technology partner to make the museum experience even more engaging.”
